Quick Cards With Kintsugi Inspirations

I have always loved the ideas and symbolism of Kintsugi–the Japanese art of mending broken pottery with gold, silver, or platinum. The cracks become a thing of beauty, celebrating the scars rather than hiding them. It honors the history of the pottery. It’s a beautiful philosophy that we can apply to our own lives!

So, I was really excited about Stampin’ Up’s Kintsugi Inspirations Suite. I knew it would make beautiful cards. The DSP is really pretty, and it has images that can be cut with the dies. In fact, there is one sheet that can be cut into 13 vases, 13 cups, and 13 flowers! Check it out!

I turned these images into 13 cards! Here are four of them.

Thirteen cards from ONE SHEET of DSP! And I still have another sheet just like it! Not to mention all the other beautiful papers.

This Stunning Paper Is PERFECT For Gorgeous Fall Crafts

I have been playing with the Gather Together Suite that I received in my demonstrator preorder. (This is one of my FAVORITE perks of being a demonstrator!) On this card, the embossing folder, shiny dots, twine, sentiment, and DSP are all from the suite. The DSP is definitely the star of the show! The picture does not do it justice. The colors are Crushed Curry, Old Olive, and Cajun Craze, and the are accented with gold foil. Exquisite!

The other papers are also incredibly beautiful, but I must admit, my favorite is the one I used in the card above. The only drawback to this DSP is that it is double-sided, so you have to choose which side to use! Here are my other favorites.

Get Creative With the Unbounded Beauty Suite

I SO love this new collection called Unbounded Beauty because it utilizes all the new In Colors, which are so bright and happy. (I know, a color can’t be happy, but it can make me feel happy!) I created the card below using a variety of techniques, including the use of adhesive sheets to make adhering the intricate die cuts a breeze. Watch me make this card on my YouTube channel.

Country Floral Lane Suite – So Pretty!!

Love, love, love this suite of products! This card features gingham paper from the Country Gingham 6 x 6 DSP collection and the banner is made from the Country Floral Lane 12 x 12 DSP. I also used stitched circle dies from the Stylish Shapes dies, as well as the potted succulent dies to cut the sentiment. The red sequins are from the retired seasonal sequins.

The coolest part of the card is the focal point–the hearts and leaves. These are cut using the Country Bouquet punch and the Country Floral Lane DSP. You don’t even need to stamp anything!
