For this card, I started with a Poppy Parade card base and a plaid designer paper from the Rings of Love paper available during the most recent Sale-A-Bration. I used the Stylish Shapes dies to cut the bottom square from Mint Macaron and the sentiment square as well. The apple was stamped with Memento ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends in Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green, and Mint Macaron. There is a subtle stamp on the red cardstock of the X-pattern stamp; this is stamped with Versamark ink.

This card focuses on the apple blossoms dies. I die cut the branch from Early Espresso cardstock and the leaves from Granny Apple Green cardstock. The flowers are die cut from basic white, then edged with Blushing Bride ink. These dies even have the stamens, which I die cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock. Adhesive pearls in the center are the finishing touch for these darling apple blossoms. This is all adhered to white cardstock embossed with the Into the Clouds embossing folder. The card base is Blushing Bride, and the designer paper is from the Design A Daydream host paper collection. The twine is retired.

I really love this stamp and die set. You can use it for fall apples, teacher cards, or beautiful apple blossom cards. So many possibilities!

Hues of Happiness Birthday and Anniversary Cards

I put up a quick post earlier this year of some cards featuring the Hues of Happiness Suite from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.

Here are my latest cards using this suite (plus some sentiments from other sets). There are dies that cut out the flowers and leaves on the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper (DSP), as well as the cut out pattern on the white mat that allows the color of the card base to peak through. In this case, the card base is Melon Mambo.

These designer papers are just GORGEOUS! There are dies to cut out three different flower types on the first two patterns on the left. The paper is double sided, and you can see the flip side next to each sheet in the photo. This is located on page 109 in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.

I stamped a flower on the inside corner, as well as on the envelope flap. Stamping makes it so so easy to coordinate your envelopes and insides of your cards. I LOVE the glossy dots that come with the suite. They are super bright and they are smooth and flat, which makes them ideal for sending through the mail without worrying about the dots going through the envelope.

I used a birthday sentiment from the Flowering Tulips set (page 27 of the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog).

Same card here, but in Gorgeous Grape. The sentiment is from a retired set called All Year Cheer III, an oldie but goodie! You can never have enough sentiments! The sentiments and mats for them were die cut using the Stitched Rectangles. I love the look of the stitched edges!

Awash In Beauty Cards

I am having a lot of fun with this new suite of products, which includes the True Beauty stamp set, Organic Beauty dies, and Awash In Beauty designer paper.

For the card above, I used a Balmy Blue card base, then a layer of Merry Merlot and a layer of the designer paper. The rose was stamped in Merry Merlot and Granny Apple Green, the floral spray of flowers in Balmy Blue, and the sentiment in Merry Merlot. I added three In-Color Glossy Dots in Pale Papaya because no card is complete without a little bling! 🙂

The Awash In Beauty designer papers are SO PRETTY! They can be cards all by themselves! I simply cut the paper and glued it to card bases in Merry Merlot, Balmy Blue, So Saffron, and Polished Pink. I used a sentiment from Happiness Abounds and die cut it with one of the stitched rectangles dies. So simple!

This suite is on page 67 of the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. You can view the catalogs HERE.

Flowing Flowers Cards and Envelopes

This stamp set makes the most beautiful flowers, and it’s SO easy to use!! These specially designed stamps are called “distINKtive stamps.” They create images that have contour and shading, but you only have to stamp ONE time! It couldn’t be any easier.

I used Highland Heather for the card base. The flowers are inked with Highland Heather and Flirty Flamingo inks, and the leaves are done in Granny Apple Green. I used blending brushes to ink the stamp with the flowers and leaves. Just tap the blending brush on the ink pad and apply it where you want it on the stamp.

I die cut the pieces using the stitched rectangles dies and had to add a little bling, of course! The pastel pearls add just the right touch.

I did the same techniques to decorate the flap of the envelope.

The sentiments in this set cover a lot of occasions, making this a very versatile set.

This is a GREAT beginner’s set because it is quick and has a lot of variety in the sentiments. For the thank you card above, I stamped the flowers in Polished Pink, Mango Melody, and Granny Apple Green on the white card stock, then the sentiment in black. I cut it using the new deckled rectangles dies and glued it to a Granny Apple Green card base. I added two pink embellishments and that’s it! I then made a matching envelope. This is a FUN SET!!

This beautiful stamp set is only available until June 30, 2022. It is in the January-June Mini Catalog 2022. To view the catalog, go to www.stampinup.com, scroll to the bottom, and click “Digital Catalog.”

Flowering Tulips Thank You Card

I just love the Flowering Fields Suite in the January-June 2022 mini catalog. This card features the Flowering Tulips stamps and dies. The colors are Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, and Evening Evergreen. In addition to the card stock, the designer paper is SO pretty, and the scalloped rectangle really shows off the tulip. Finally, I just HAVE to add some bling! The purple pastel pearls are the perfect finishing touch.

Hues of Happiness is GORGEOUS!!

I needed a quick gift for my grandson’s pre-k teacher, and I just couldn’t resist using my new Hues of Happiness Suite! The papers and colors are gorgeous. The flowers and leaves are die cut right from the designer paper. The embossing folder is Ornate Floral from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. The card bases/embossed layers are in Night of Navy/Coastal Cabana, Mango Melody/Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape/Fresh Freesia, and Melon Mambo/Flirty Flamingo. And no card is complete without some bling!! I LOVE the glossy dots!
