It is said that watching fish can relax you. I can say that stamping them has the same effect! This card incorporates a lot of fun techniques, like using ink and spritzers to create watercolor effects on cardstock for the die cuts, using blending brushes to create an ocean background, and using blending brushes directly on stamps to make fish in two (or more!) colors. I’ve demonstrated everything in a set of three videos that you can watch here.
SUPPLIES USED:
- Azure Afternoon Card Base – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
- Basic White Cardstock – 5-1/4″ x 4″
- Basic White Cardstock – 5-1/8 x 3-7/8 for the brushed background
- Basic White Cardstock – 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ to do the watercolor technique for the seaweed die cuts
- Blending Brushes – I used 1 large and 2 small ones
- Beauty of the Deep Bundle
- Stamp pads – Azure Afternoon, Tahitian Tide, Starry Sky, Parakeet Party, Black, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Fresh Freesia
- Refill Inks (optional, depending on what technique you want to use to make the watercolor effects on the cardstock for the die cuts): I used Fresh Freesia to get a darker bit of color on the watercolor effects
- Charming Sentiments Bundle
Here is the video showing how to put the final card together. It has links in the description for the other two videos.
